The 5th La Línea Flamenca Festival celebrates the new generation of artists alongside figures such as El Pele and Duquende

La Línea, May 20th – The La Línea Conference Centre will host a key event on July 4th, showcasing the city's artistic heritage. The city is preparing to relive one of its most flamenco-filled nights with the fifth edition of the 'La Línea Flamenca' Festival.

The event, which began in 2022 and is fully established in the cultural scene, will take place on July 4, 2026, starting at 22:00 p.m. at the Congress Palace.

This event is jointly organized by the Peña Flamenca Cultural Linense and the City Council of La Línea de la Concepción, and has the institutional support of the Provincial Council of Cádiz, as well as the Commonwealth of Municipalities of Campo de Gibraltar.

The purpose of this edition is to reclaim the flamenco as one of the most defining artistic and cultural heritages of the municipality, also serving as a showcase to show the world the strength of the new generation of local artists.

To underscore the importance of this event, the organizers have assembled a highly demanding lineup of top-tier flamenco singers. Among them, the Cordoban Manuel Moreno Maya 'El Pele' stands out, whose cante It transcends mere musical performance to become the heartbeat of the flamenco soul made song.

With a powerful voice and overflowing passion, the flamenco singer proposes a profound journey through the most authentic paths of art. jondowhere each note acts as an echo of his own story, passion, and essence, inviting the audience to feel the intensity and emotion in every measure. Alongside him, the stage of the Congress Palace will welcome Juan Rafael Cortés Santiago 'Duquende', one of the most celebrated names on the scene. flamenco contemporary and who was the official singer on the international tours of maestro Paco de Lucía for almost two decades.

The third main protagonist of the night will be the dancer from La Línea, José María Viñas Coca, 'José Viñas', born on November 10, 1992, who perfectly embodies the values ​​of talent and refined technique of the new generation of creators in the city.

Viñas, who began his dance career at the early age of 11, has a solid academic background after studying at the Professional Dance Conservatories of Malaga and Seville, in addition to having received a scholarship from the prestigious Foundation of Flamenco by Cristina Heeren.

The artist already enjoys considerable international recognition, thanks to his tours of the world's most important festivals and high-level awards, among which the second prize for dance obtained in 2025 at the prestigious International Competition of Cante from the La Unión Mines, in Murcia.

Based in Madrid, where he acts as an ambassador for the art of his hometown in the capital, Viñas maintains a strong connection to his local roots, as his grandfather, Francisco Viñas, was a prominent enthusiast and founding member of the Peña Flamenca Linense Cultural. On stage, the young dancer stands out for his absolute dedication, which allows him to faithfully reproduce his feelings through movement.

With this festival, the organizing entities pursue a series of strategic objectives that go beyond mere entertainment. Firstly, they seek to offer a high-quality cultural program to the members of the Peña Flamenca Cultural Linense as well as the citizens of La Línea. Furthermore, the event is positioned as an essential platform for artists flamencoThe artists from La Línea will have the opportunity to perform in front of their fellow countrymen and to offer the fans the drive of the new local flamenco generation.

Historically, La Línea de la Concepción has established itself as a flamenco city, functioning as a focal point and permanent exhibition of this culture, the cradle and meeting point of numerous generations of singers, dancers and guitarists.

Through this fifth meeting, the municipality firmly reaffirms its historical and contemporary relevance in the fabric flamenco, showcasing the relevance and future of its young creators to the outside world.
