February 17

11:30 a.m. Interview with flamenco singer José Montoya BerenjenoThe artist, accompanied by guitarist Manuel Heredia, will present his first solo work, entitled 'Lealtad' (Loyalty). The performance will take place at the Sala la Compañía, as part of the 30th Jerez Festival. The artist will share details about this performance.

5:15 p.m. Interview with Miriam Méndez 'The Barefoot Princess'The pianist and composer premieres her show 'From Jerez to Heaven' at the 30th Jerez Festival. The performance will take place at La Gotera de la Azotea. In the show, Miriam plays the piano, sings, and dances. She will tell us all about it.

13:00 (Pre-Festival): Official opening of the photography exhibition 'Focus on — Body · Voice · Woman' by the graphic artist and filmmaker Roksaneh Emma Fotovat. A visual work about flamencoWomen's art, understood as a living art, a language of the body, and a space for transmission, is the focus of this event, dedicated to Iranian women and all women, whose bodies and voices carry a history of freedom and resistance. #womanlifefreedom. 11:00 to 12:30. Masterclass on cante through Tangos and Bulerías with José Anillo. (Two days duration).

A didactic way to delve into the secrets of two of the canteThey are festive by nature, one corresponding to the duple meter, as in tangos, and the amalgamated meter of the quintessential festive style, bulerás. Performed by José Anillo from Cadiz, an experienced professional of cante.

12.30 to 14.00 hours. Masterclass on bata de cola with flamenco dancer Ángeles Gabaldón (Two days duration)

Ángeles Gabaldón is one of the great current exponents of the Sevillian school of dance flamencoAlong with her interpretive quality, she has highlighted the use of accessories that were added to the dance throughout its history, such as the shawl, the hat, the castanets and, especially, the bata de cola (flamenco dress with a train) and its handling in different styles. flamencos

Tuesday February 24

12:30 to 2:00 pm. Masterclass on accompanying soleá dance with guitarist Ñoño Santiago. Guest dancer: Inés Rubio.

This class focuses on accompanying soleá dance, exploring in depth its structure, calls, closings, flourishes, and the real dialogue between guitar and dance. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions, resolve doubts, and understand the concept of accompaniment from a practical and musical perspective. The class will feature flamenco dancer Inés Rubio as a guest artist, providing hands-on practice of dance accompaniment with concrete examples and real-life stage scenarios. Note: Participation in both of Ñoño's courses is offered at a reduced price.

Our colleague and great artist, who is also trained in Pedagogy of FlamencoWith natural artistry and a great deal of teaching, he will show you the trick behind the Buleria of Jerez…

The aim of this workshop is to introduce participants to the language of bulerías for "Fiesta por Bulerías" (Bulería Party), from an intuitive and simple perspective, providing a solid foundation and confidence when going out to dance.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have acquired the basic skills to improvise and understand the main characteristics of Jerez-style bulería. Finally, we put everything we've learned into practice with live musicians.

17:00 to 18:30 Flamenco Lyrics Creation Workshop (in any language, 5 days duration, face-to-face and online options) by Puela Lunaris.

It is a workshop for creating flamenco lyrics in any language of the world, developing new original lyrics and learning how to fit them into the musical structures of various cantes flamencos: Tangos, Campanilleros, Sevillanas Corraleras and Tanguillos de Cádiz.

This workshop is based on Puela Lunaris' experience as a lyricist, arranger, and music producer of her album Duende Flamenco with lyrics in English and Spanish and international digital distribution. Just as hip-hop and jazz are now sung in many languages, the international flamenco community also feels the need to express itself in its native tongues. Therefore, this workshop fills an important gap in the internationalization of flamenco. flamenco.

Dance Masterclass flamenco Focused on rhythm, structure, and expression in bulerías, following the Jerez tradition, Esther Estefanía Aranda offers a learning space where technique always serves meaning, listening, and the truth of the gesture. It is not about a rigid choreography, but about understanding the codes for dancing with freedom and connection to one's roots.
