On Saturday, February 21, the President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, will honor the journalist and music producer. Teresa Peña with the Commander's Cross of the Order of Civil Merit for her outstanding professional career linked to information and social communication, contributing to the visibility of cultural diversity and the recognition of the reality of the Gypsy People.

Likewise, a tribute will be paid to the album that day. Persecution de Juan Peña The Lebrijano Fifty years after its publication. A musical work that commemorates the harassment and persecution suffered by the Roma people in Spain, while proclaiming a song of freedom.

The event will take place at the Moncloa Palace and is part of the closing of the Gypsy Year for the 600th anniversary of their arrival in Spain.

The ceremony, in which four more awards will be presented to different personalities of Gypsy culture, will be broadcast live on RTVA's La 1 channel.
