Our guest returns to the stage of the Villamarta Theatre with a brave and demanding proposal. As a woman and as an artist, she has felt first-hand the historical injustice that was committed with the so-called las no hat. Some great artists belonging to the Generation of '27 who, due to gender issues, were ignored and marginalized from references until today.

In response to this 'suffocating oblivion', Mercedes de Córdoba has been fully involved in shaping the show Olvidadas (A las sin sombrero) which will be performed on 27 February during the 29th Festival de Jerez. To do so, together with her company, she has created an intimate space based on an imaginary encounter with the essence of those women. The discourse of Mercedes and her company's dancers weaves together an endless number of metaphors, symbols and a gestural language full of irony. A message from art to society, travelling from the past to the present 'to bear witness to what cannot happen again'.
