The seed of flamenco It germinates anywhere in the world, no matter how far away it is from its cradle of origin. As the master Paco Toronjo would say, ours is an art that belongs to the feelings of humanity knowing no boundaries beyond the heart.

Exactly 35 years ago, Rosario Ancer and her husband took the first steps to make known the flamenco in the city of Vancouver (Canada), fostering some initial meetings. Year after year, the event grew to become a full-fledged festival. Flamenco visited by leading figures of the genre jondo.

A festival of clear international vocation that 'nourishes the hybrid roots of the flamenco to foster innovation and experimentation, while remaining deeply rooted in tradition.' We spoke about all of this with Rosario Ancer, its main promoter over these 35 years of existence. She also announced the contents of a program of performances and parallel activities that will take place from September 20 to 28, 2025.
